To promote and encourage better understanding among the members and general public as to the related health benefits and competitive aspects of marathoning.
To promote interest in marathoning including the organization and conducting of marathon events which would be of competitive nature: to give and promote entertainment, lectures, social affairs, award ceremonies, exhibitions, races and fun runs; to promote participation in civic events and issue general information bulletins relating to said activities.
We strive to have a positive impact on the local and surrounding communities in Western New York by giving back.
To that end the race has made donations to other not for profits in the community. In the first 23 years we have given back over $1,800,000 to more than 50 local not for profit organizations
